And You Thought New York Was Hard |

What is perfectly acceptable practice today among Jehovah's Witnesses, was once condemned by the Watchtower Society, resulting in persons being disfellowshipped and shunned by their friends and family. But more seriously, many persons died because of this ruling. True the governing body are merely imperfect men, who make imperfect decisions, but if that is the case, then why enforce it on their members as though they would be disloyal to God for not obeying? Ultimately they are responsible.

Today, right in the midst of countries with adequate human rights and freedom, their exists religious groups that censor all information their members can read and watch. People are not allowed to talk to each other about anything critical of the leader, doctrine, or organization. Most importantly, people are told to avoid contact with ex-members or critics. Those who could provide the most information are the ones to be especially shunned.

With countless articles in the Watchtower and the recent video entitled "Stand Firm",
persons are lead to believe that the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society maintained strict neutrality during World
War II in Nazi Germany. Not Completely. Check out the anti Jewish comments in this yearbook.

Works of Mercy?
Or
Works of Sacrifice?
According to the Watchtower Society, sacred service is only preaching to unbaptized persons and direct assignments
they assign to individuals. All other service to God, such as mercy and love of neighbor, as the good Samaritan
performed, are considered to be service only but not sacred service. For this, time is only counted on the first. It
appears that the Watchtower does endorse mercy, from the above pictures and many fine articles, yet the very fact
that they enforce the counting of time and the titles of "auxiliary" "pioneering" certainly
negate these articles.
What Does God Require Of Us ?
Obedience To The Letter of The Law ?
Or To The Spirit of The Law ?

- Is This Scripturally
Acceptable ?
Is It Fair And Scriptural To Put A Blanket Condemnation On All Political Involvement As
The Watchtower Bible And Tract Society Does ? Here Are Some Thoughts As To Satan Being The Ruler Of This World
And At The Same Time The Governments Being God's Minister.

Is the "pledge of allegiance" and flag salute of a religious nature ? Does participating in these actions constitute a compromise of Christian integrity ? Should persons sacrifice their lives for their refusal in participation on this issue ?

If you are going to read books that are in opposition to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, then these are the gems. There are a large amount of books out there, many are accurate and many are not. I have not read them all, however the above books I have and are given excellent reviews by myself and many different persons. Also the writers have been former witnesses including a Governing Body member, which truly adds weight and experience to the information that no other persons could have obtained.

Traditional View - The trinity doctrine that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the one God, but three persons. Jesus Christ Had both the nature and divinity to be called both man and God, resulting in Jesus Christ as always being God Almighty. All creation is subject to him.
Jehovah's Witnesses - Jesus Christ, the son of God, formerly known as, and now again, Michael the Arch Angel, was created, learned obedience, provided a ransom sacrifice and was exalted as King, yet never attains the position and authority of God. All creation, including Jesus Christ, is subject to the father, Jehovah. Jehovah remains the supreme authority and Christ the mediator.
This Web Page - To the extent that the Buddha, Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, Krishna, Mohammed, Confucius, Julian of Norwich, Catherine of Genoa, Hildengard of Bingen, Rosa Parks, Florence Nightingale, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Buber, Thich Nhat Hahn, Dag Hammarskjold, or any other holy person brings life, love, and being to another, then to that degree that person is to me the word of God incarnate. No fence can be placed around the Being of God. The suggestion that Jesus is of a different kind of substance and therefore different from every other human being in kind instead of in degree will ultimately have to be abandoned. Then the realization will surely begin to dawn that to perceive Jesus as different form others only in degree is to open all people to the divine potential found in the Christ figure. It is to invite all people to step into the power of living fully, loving wastefully, and having the courage to be all that any one of can be - a self whole, free, real, and expanding, a participant in a humanity without boundaries. Preaching Scriptural
?
Do The scriptures in Acts 5:42 and Acts 20:20 truly support the door to door method of preaching
as done by Jehovah's Witnesses ? Do Jesus' instructions in Matthew chapter 10 relate to this method of preaching
? According to the Watchtower Society, this "formal" type of preaching measures the spirituality of all
of those physically capable of doing so.

Why does God's personality seem to change? Does God have multiple personalities? Is the Intolerant Warrior God of the Hebrew scriptures the same God of love in the Christian Greek scriptures? If so, then why the dramatic changes in his dealings with man? This article is basically a review of the book entitled "God - A Biography" - by Jack Miles.
And
Questionable
Accounts of God's Developing Personality
Here are some accounts coming right out of the Bible that question the personality traits and actions of God in
the book they call the Bible. It's amazing how men take their own books, such as the Vedas, the Koran, the Kabala,
the Bible and etc., and proceed to claim them to be divinely inspired and call them "the word of God."
From this relatively weak foundation point, they begin their building of theology.
